INSIDE OUT AND BACK AGAIN: BOOK REVIEW >>

Hiee! Narwhal here!! Today, I'll be reviewing Inside Out and Back Again, a book by Thanhha Lai. It is incredibly well-written, and the story is so exciting and touching.

Age Recommendation
This book would be fine for most children age 7-10, but, it is set right after (and during) the Vietman War, and explores some very deep topics which younger kids might not get. Most tweens would really enjoy this book, and teens & grownups might even like it too!!

My Rating
5/5!!!

Review
This book is beautiful, and being written in verse makes it even more so! It really might make you smile, laugh, and cry.  I can't think of anything bad about it, really! I loved it!!

Set in Vietnam in 1975, 10 year old Hà escapes with her family from their much loved home in South Vietnam, before the fall of Saigon.  In America, Hà goes through learning English, being bullied, and much more. She learns about kindness and racism, as well as the human nature in general.

As I said before, it is written in verse, so there are less words on each page than there would be on a normal page of a chapter book.

*applauds*

I highly recommend this book to YOU!
